FITNESS

Ok - so you've eaten and drank your way (despite all the dancing!) to some weight gain (read + 5 kg). Not to worry! We've got you covered.

Yoga Zone
(Strand Street - City Center)
A 2 week trial for 120 rand - great instructors, a great workout, and unlimited classes! You'll make your R120 back in two lessons but you'll be going back for more and more. Hot yoga so be prepared with extra clothes to change into after you've become a hot mess.

Virgin Health Club
(City Center)
A huge place with a swimming pool and a lot of classes offered every hour to half hour. Free trial day upon request. Befriend a personal trainer for free health and fitness consultation (;

Fitness Zone
(Cape Quarter)
A nice gym with new facilities. There's a great view from the running machines as well. Go with someone who has membership as a guest to get in free.

Women's Fitness Zone
(Kloof Street)
A spa, a tan can, and a lounge with free tea. Definitely caters to women but has super old (read ancient) machines. Worth a free try for a day. I would stay for the TV tea lounge but not for the equipment.

Renaissance Gym
(City Center - Bree Street)
Nice place with very high tech machines. They'll tell you when you're going too fast, too slow, out of range, etc. Plus the showers are pretty cool. Free 7 day trial - go for it!

Yoga Life
(Cape Quarter)
Free Trial here as well. Haven't tried it myself but they seem like a nice place, give it a try and let me know how it is.
